Class Builder Component (Flash Panel)

Reynaldo December 10th, 2007

Hi All:

On Friday, a colleague was showing me how Flex had this feature where all you have to do is enter some package paths in a panel, sprinkle some pixie dust and Flex magically created a nicely formatted class file. I thought I may take a shot at making a flash panel which does the same thing.

The panel lacks what I think is the most powerful feature in the flex version which is being able to add an implement file and have the newly created class populated with the mandatory functions of that class but it’s work in progress. Never the less it still allows you to create a pretty clean as3 class template.

It’s still in alpha and has many enhancements pending but it’s still pretty much usable. Check it out and lemme know what I can do to better it. Enjoy!

Uploader Component v2.1

Reynaldo March 18th, 2007

Uploader Component

Uploader Component allows you to upload files onto your web server.

- Macromedia V2 Component Architecture.
- Fully Scalable
- Adjustable background color
- Restrict upload size
- Restrict file type
- Adjust path to php file (Upload.php file included)
- Preloader
- Flash MX 2004, Flash 8
- Free Updates

You can grab it here. In the zip file you get two files. The Component MXP and the “upload.php” file.

In order for you to successfully upload files, you would have to upload the php file on to on to your server / domain and then point to it in the components property panel.

Also, you have to create an empty folder called “uploads” in the same directory to hold the files uploaded. Post any questions and enjoy!!

Peace!

Gauge Component

Gauge is a charting component that enables you to display numeric values in a very cool way. It’s an excellent component when used in a dashboard for example.

Here’s my gauge component, full with custom actionscript and documentation… Give it a shot! (you can grab it here.)

This movie requires Flash Player 9
